Featured CES 2020: Arris Adds Wi-Fi 6 Tri-Band Mesh To Surfboard Line-Up

    Arris' SURFboard mAX AX6600 Mesh Wi-Fi 6 system is a less expensive member of its Wi-Fi 6 SURFboard mAX mesh system family, joining the SURFboard mAX Pro Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System (AX11000) and SURFboard mAX Plus Mesh Wi-Fi 6 system (AX7800) announced last year.

    The mAX AX6600 features a tri-band design with dedicated 5 GHz four-stream AX backhaul radio and two-stream dual-band Wi-Fi 6 fronthaul. The quad-core ARM A7 Cortex powered design features Alexa compatibility for managing router functions like guest Wi-Fi access and Wi-Fi pause and includes two GbE ports (one WAN/ one LAN) per router.

    Pricing was not announced, but the SURFboard mAX® AX6600 Mesh Wi-Fi® 6 system two-router set and stand-alone single router version will both be available in Q2 2020.
